Turn up the Music and Dance!
The purpose of this blog is to reflect on and address music, movement, and imagination in the STR²EAM preschool classroom. I will be sharing my thoughts on Music, Movement, and Make-Believe in the Preschool Classroom, Nature Jam’s Preschool Prodigies Pilot-Sweet Beets-Rhythm Lesson, and Song for Kids. I will also discuss my thoughts on the story Violet’s Music. As early childcare professionals, we should develop the ability to analyze educational materials. We should obviously focus on the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards adopted in the Fall of 2017. As we share different modes of technology, through the use of videos, music, and books our goal is to provide concrete lesson extensions that strengthen the domains within the standards for each child individually as well as in a whole group or small group setting.
